Insurance Information

Insurance and prosthetic care don't always line up the way patients expect. Coverage varies widely depending on the type of policy, the type of prosthesis, and the reason it's needed — and many patients never learn about their full range of options because a clinic's standard coverage list doesn't include them. Below is a general overview of how funding works for the specialized, custom care provided at Genesis Prosthetic Arts.

Workers' Compensation and Auto Insurance

Workers' compensation and auto insurance claims often allow for a broader range of prosthetic options than standard health insurance — including the custom, cosmetic, and highly personalized devices that are a specialty here. If your injury is covered under a workers' comp or auto claim, you may have access to features and finishes that wouldn't otherwise be approved. If you're not sure whether your claim qualifies, reach out and we can help you find out.

Health Insurance and Standard Coverage

Most standard health insurance plans cover a baseline, functional prosthesis but not the specialized cosmetic or custom work offered here. Some patients choose to pay out of pocket for that additional level of care — this is especially common for facial prosthetics, where mainstream insurance coverage has long been inconsistent. We're happy to walk you through what your specific plan is likely to cover before you commit to anything.

Veterans and VA Benefits

Veterans receiving care through VA benefits are welcome here as well. Coverage details vary by case, so please contact us directly to discuss your specific situation and what may be available to you.
