Partial Foot Prosthetics
The partial foot amputee has very few good options for their problem. While Gensis can fit those more conventional devices, the unique skills and knowledge here can also fit non "standard of care" items such as the silicone partial foot prosthesis by uniquely combing multiple disciplines and skills needed to properly fit and fabricate this device from start to finish. Don't settle for mail ordered prosthetics if better choices are available to you!
New higher activity silicone partial foot prostheses are now being designed for more active patients! More information on here soon…
Step up to a higher quality of life and appearance with the Genesis Foot, a custom silicone partial foot prosthesis“I was very fortunate to have someone like David work with me….. No one else in the area could offer me what I wanted. Now I look down and I see my toes again! I feel more whole and comfortable with more activities and social situations.” – TrishaThe Partial Foot Amputation-The loss of any part of the foot can cause a multitude of problems. The foot works like a tripod, with the heel acting as one leg, the big toe as the second, and the other four toes making up the third leg. One can see why just the loss of a big toe can create serious problems for an individual. The prosthesis that a patient is fit with can make a BIG difference in his or her ability to walk, and how much energy it takes. A “toe filler” is inadequate to address the needs of the partial foot amputee.Genesis Prosthetic Arts specializes in a silicone slipper type of prosthesis that provides better suspension, support and toe off (push off) than many conventional prostheses provided by most clinicians. Because of the fabrication process, it is easier to make a prostheses look real than to make one that does not. That being the case…why settle for a less realistic prosthesis?
Getting More of Patients Lives Back
While patient outcomes vary, Genesis has gotten patients back on the ski slopes, playing racquetball, horseback riding, back to full shifts in the operating room, hanging drywall and many other things. Some folks just want to take a walk on the beach with their spouse or take their kids to Disney World for the day and enjoy the rides and some ice cream instead of needing call it quits after just an hour there. What do you want to do with your life?

David,
"What a blessing you have been in my life. You have changed my life in a way that I could never adequately express with enough gratitude. You have taken a horrific and life altering situation and made it bearable to withstand. I now have the ability to walk for long periods of time; I can work for eight hours and not limp to my car in excruciating pain. My gait has significantly improved and I don’t have people staring or asking what happened anymore. I can now wear a vast selection of shoes that I could not have previously even considered. What you have done for my self-esteem and self-confidence is priceless and beyond measure. I’m not self-conscious in public or around people who don’t know about my amputation anymore. I have a sense of normalcy back in my life that I thought I had lost forever.Your knowledge and skill set are incredible and I can only hope that I can help others find their way to you. Your empathetic care and understanding nature are assets that only enhance and compliment how valuable your skills and abilities are to provide quality prosthetics.Thank you for allowing me the ability to walk without pain, for bringing back some normalcy and self-worth and for changing my life. I am forever grateful and can only hope that you know how much of an impact you have on others lives and have made on my own".

Toe "spacers" can also be of benefit as seen below. This patient was only able to walk up to an hour a day with discomfort with “toe fillers” Now this patient can walk all day without discomfort, and the appearance speaks for itself.
Don’t underestimate the importance of prosthetic rehabilitation for "just a couple of toes." It serves a valuable function as you learned above. This patient was born with a partial formed toes and had 17 suguries with no releive from walking pain. Too often this type of foot problem is considered “small” or minor. But ask my patients if they agree, especially after they have received good prosthetic care. I was able to get this patient form taking pain releivers to manage pain to get through a work day, but these simple devices (not so simple for me to design and create truth be told) heped the patient work ful days without discomfort of need for medication.
