Loss of a nose can come from a variety of causes, but regardless, finding a clinician with a broad range of skills is rare and hard to find. An overview is below, but I can also further educate a patient about the creation of a custom-made nasal prosthesis just for them!

Facial prosthetics restore not only a patient's image, but can also be very important for restoring function. A nasal or ear prosthesis can enable a patient to wear glasses, ensure proper breathing, and protect the remaining tissues. A good prosthesis seeks to go unnoticed wherever possible, and anonymity is often the desired outcome when out in public spaces.
Osseo-Integration (Bone Anchored Implants)
Osseointegration is the use of titanium implants that "bond" with the bone to allow the use of magnets or a "bar" and clip system to hold a prosthesis in place, replacing various adhesives. It is a surgical procedure that requires several stages before a prosthesis can be fit with that form of retention.
