Osseo-Integration (Bone Anchored Implants)
A nasal prosthesis can be held in place with either adhesive or a bone anchored system that uses either clips or magnets. Genesis can fit for any of these methods of retention.
Osseointegration is the use of titanium implants that “bonds” with the bone to allow the use of magnets or a “bar” and clip system to hold a prosthesis in place, replacing various adhesives. It is a surgical procedure that requires several stages before a prosthesis can be fit with that form of retention.
