Legislation is being considered in Michigan that will put limits on patients that were injured in a motorcycle or auto accident which will decrease total dollar cap amounts, and also patient choice of care providers over the next couple of years. This will limit a patients selection of sources for care, the actual care they recieve, and force patients to go to limited networks to get their services. A network provider may or may not be the most conveinient location available. Networks are formed to lower costs to insurance through agreements that have little to do with quality and more to do with price. Networks typically hold down price and therefor will limit care, whether intentional or or unintentional. More to follow.....
